Online poker has become world famous recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank's initial card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet's amount is on same level to your original bet, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank's hand. The house pays chips even with your original bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
