Have you observed the new PokerPro texas hold'em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks back when I took a quick trip with my parents to the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my turn to be called at the live tables, I watched how the other individuals around the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was fairly fascinating to say the very least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no poker chips to do any chip tips, no cards to shuffle and the real live experience was stale. Maybe I was the only one that noticed this, except I did observe the gamblers on the table had a dull high quality to them. The reason for this might be since there was no human discussion with the croupier, the atmosphere was relatively dull and the gamblers looked weary. It was a tiny bit bizarre and I continued to have flash backs to a show of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables was over an hour, I decided to see how the game action was and to experience this new texas hold'em poker gaming technology. After betting a couple of hands, I truly felt like I was wagering at house. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle and stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these computer tables.

An additional thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a good deal of hands on the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a great deal like an internet based texas hold em poker site. That could have been just a coincidence, except I discovered it to become very odd.

Right after betting a couple of rounds with this "new holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables have been not for me. I'm better off betting hold'em poker on the internet at home and not travel the distance.
