I've been betting poker now for about five years, I have wagered cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various types of Brag and general random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so eloquently called, card on head game. I used to usually win, whatever game we were wagering and even though I liked to call it skill, it was really tough to warrant thinking about the randomness of the games we were betting, so I was over joyed to accept I was having a long-term run of luck.

Then came Poker, or a lot more importantly Texas hold em Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card players in the 60's and since grown into one of the biggest card phenomena ever witnessed. Poker is totally the new black, it's super cool with a lot of of the world's leading celebrities racing to have their name associated with it. Just a quick scan via the TV channels these days and you'll be able to not escape from poker, and obviously there's the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each and every single player.

So with all of this fresh found recognition, with so many Tv shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves loaded up with high quality material written by the foremost minds on poker, when are men and women going to learn that this casino game is all about position!?

Perhaps I need to not receive so worked up about this, after all the additional folks who have difficulty with the subtle techniques and approaches required for winning regularly at Texas hold em, the far better it can be for everyone else, appropriate?
