Internet poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank's 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or give up. The call wager's value is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer doesn't have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including a sum on par with the original bet. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer's hand. The casino pays money even with your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
