Online poker has become world famous as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other gamblers attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino's 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager's amount is equal to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the wager is the showdown. If the house doesn't have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus an amount equal to the initial wager. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank's hand. The bank pony's up cash equal to your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
