Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer declares "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank's 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager's value is on same level to your original wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the casino doesn't have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including an amount equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer's hand. The dealer pays out cash equal to your bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
